The United States Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific proposes to contract for A/C Condenser Tube Renewal for the USCGC POLAR SEA (WAGB 11). Work shall be performed on USCGC POLAR SEA at its home berth located in Seattle, WA. The Contractor will be required to remove 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B air conditioning (A/C) condenser units and renew the tube bundles. The A/C condensers shall be repaired in piecemeal fashion. The cutter must be left with the ability to operate at least one air conditioning unit to cool sensitive electronic equipment. After tube renew, all A/C condensers shall be hydrostatically tested and reinstalled onboard USCGC POLAR SEA. The solicitation will be issued on/about 15 days after publication of this notice, with bids due 30 days thereafter. The period of performance is 11 March 1996 through 05 April 1996.
