PRIVATIZATION SOLICITATION WORKSHOP The San Antonio Air Logistics Center will hold a two-week workshop from 20 Feb through 29 Feb 1996, in the San Antonio or South Texas area, to draft a model solicitation (including statement of objectives) in a commercial format which may be used in subsequent contracts for the privatization of the Center workload, with a specific focus on the propulsion business area. Representatives from companies interested in participating in the process of drafting this model solicitation are invited to respond with a statement of qualifications, indicating name and size of company, type and years experience in major repair and overhaul of engines (including aircraft engines, gas turbine engines and secondary power sources) and fuel accessories, and what skills or expertise they propose to bring to the workshop. The Government reserves the right to limit the number of participants to ensure a working group of a reasonable size. The participants should have sufficient authority to draft a document which will be acceptable in principle to their company. The work product will be published to industry shortly after conclusion of the workshop. The Government does not intend to pay for the information obtained or the time or expense of the participants involved, nor should it be assumed that a contract will necessarily result from this effort.
