Z -- GALILEE SALT MARSH RESTORATION, GALILEE, RHODE ISLAND SOL DACW33-96-B-0010 DUE 030596 POC Jerry Nunziato, 617-647-8424 The work of this project consists of the restoration of salt marsh habitat. The restoration will be accomplished by the construction of culverts beneath a four lane road, the Galilee Escape Road, and channels within the marsh. Major items of work include: 11,200 CY of channel excavation; grading; precast concrete culvert installation; self-regulating tide gate installation; cast-in-place concrete wall Construction; placing stone protection; 15,000 SY of turf establishment; and bituminous concrete paving. Traffic control on the Galilee Escape Road will be an important safety component of the work. Estimated cost of the work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Work shall be completed within 240 calendar days. Plans and specifications available on or about 020296 at a cost of $17.00 per set.
