The Air Force Space and Missile Center has a requirement for fully installed and tested Log-Periodic Antenna to replace two Rhombic Antenna at Cape Canaveral Air Station. The replacements should include all necessary hardware, foundation structure work, cabling and connections. Each replacement shall be a horizontally polarized, high-directive gain, log-periodic antenna, with a frequency range of 4 to 30 Mhz, suitable for point-to-point communication and broadcast operations over long-range circuits via HF radio propagation. The antenna must be suited for operation in harsh environments over long periods of time with the capability of continuous twenty-four (24) hours per day operations. The antenna curtains shall have the power handling capability of 25 kW average and 50 kW PEP. The antenna shall have a nominal input impedance of 150 ohms balanced when supplied with no balun, or 50 ohms unbalanced when supplied with a receive balun with Type N female input connector. The Directive Gain Relative to Isotopic antenna shall be 16.5 dBi at 5 Mhz and increase regularly to 18.2 dBi at 25 Mhz and above. Specifications will accompany the RFP.
