Prisons (FBOP) is preparing to solicit offers for interruptible gas
service to be supplied to the main facility of the proposed Federal
Correctional Institution-Low (FCIL), currently under construction
located in Yazoo County on the perimeter of Yazoo City, Mississippi.
The gas service contract will be for a three year period, beginning as
soon as practicable after contract award but not later than July 1,
1996. The estimated maximum demand is 68,000 cubic feet/hour and the
total estimated annual useage is 33,200 MCF, with no appreciable
increases or decreases expected over the three year period. The gas
main leading to the prison site must be of sufficient size to provide
the FCIL Yazoo City's everyday gas useage at a minimum of 10 psi. The
solicitation (RFP) will be available fifteen days after publication of
this notice. The closing date will be approximately twenty days after
issuance of the RFP. Interested public utility gas distributors
authorized to provide utility gas service for public consumption, or
interstate gas companies authorized by the Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission (FERC) to provide direct retail sales service in Mississippi
must submit a written request for the RFP to the FBOP. No collect calls
