Spitzler, (907)747-4277 The purpose and intent of this contract is to secure services for precommercial thinning on approximately 880 acres of young growth stands, on the Sitka Ranger District, Tongass National Forest. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation and supplies, except those designated as Government Furnished. This solicitation will have three bid items and may result in one or more awarded contracts. All resulting contracts will be administered by personnel from the Sitka Ranger District. Bid Item number 1 is located on Kruzof Island, in the Shelikof Bay/Twin Lakes Vicinity, and is accessed by the Mud Bay road system. Bid Item numbers 2 and 3 are located on the northwest Baranof Island, in the Saint John Baptist vicinity, and are accessed by the St. John Road System. The anticipated issue date for solicitation package is: February 1, 1996. This project is 100% Small Business/Labor Surplus Area set-aside.
