Government will provide Halon 1211 to fuly recharge the extinguishers. Within a 40 mile radius of Sacramento CA, the Government will deliver and pick-up extinguishers from the contracted source. Service will be performed in five incremental deliveries. This acquisition will be subject to the Service Contract Act. A site visit will be scheduled for the week of 5-9 February 1996. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
