Carter, 907/753-2551 Description of work to be performed: The contract is for a broad range of maintenance, repair, and minor construction work on property at the following locations: Forts Richardson, Wainwright, and Greely, Black Rapids, Kotzebue, Bethel, Nome, Whittier, Haines, Tok and Seward, Alaska. The work is required in support of Directorate of Public Works (DPW) activities headquarters at Fort Richardson (Anchorage), Alaska. The contract will be an indefinite quantity type contract and will list a wide variety of individual construction tasks (about 25,000). During the contract period, the DPW will identify construction tasks required to complete each specific job and will issue individual delivery orders to the contractor to complete those jobs. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish the jobs. The contractor will be required to maintain management offices in the Anchorage and Fairbanks areas in order to receive work orders and provide other engineering management services related to accomplish the individual jobs. Individual jobs will vary in size with a majority expected to be of a small to medium size. The job will include tasks in a variety of trades such as: carpentry, road repair, roofing, excavation, interior electrical, steamfitting, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, demolition, concrete, masonry, and welding. Range: $1,500,000 to $15,000,000--Work duration: The contract duration will be 12 months, with 4 twelve month extensions to be executed at Government option. The minimum contract amount for the contract period and each option extension is $1,500,000.00 and the maximum amount for each period is $15,000,000--Plans & spec fee: $130.00--SIC Code 1542--all responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by this agency. Responders are advised that the requirements may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, selection, evaluation, negotiation, and/or final award process based on decision related to DOD changes and disposition of the Armed Services.
