The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Construction of an 15,000 SF addition to an existing building consisting of: Brick/CMU cavity walls, steel columns and beams, steel roof trusses and joists, standing seam metal roof and fully adhered EPDM roofing, a bridge crane and concrete floor slabs. Miscellaneous electrical and mechanical systems will be included to support the facility. Site work including, but not limited to steam trench, new sidewalk, sod, plant material and parking area. The addition houses a high bay simulator room and supporting room, mechanical and electrical rooms, and misc. office areas. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 420 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a January 31, 1996. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
