Luetzow, Contracting Officer, 618-452-4551. ATCOM proposes to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Lot 2 Production of and related support for 24 ea. Fire Control Radars (FCRs) and lot 3 Long Lead Time (LLT) Items/Material/Equipment, associated efforts, and Long Lead Spares. The FCR is the model developed under Engineering Manufacturing and Development (EMD) contract DAAJ09-91-C-0175, awarded to Joint Venture (Martin Marietta Technologies, Inc. and Westinghouse Electronics Systems Group). It will be used as Government Provided Property for the modification of the AH-64A aircraft (A/C) to AH-64D Longbow Apache configuration. The FCR and related support will be procured under Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This procurement prescribed above is a follow to the EMD contract DAAJ09-91-C-0175 and Advance Procurement for Lot Production DAAJ09-95-C-A002. The FCR is a major system that best meets the Government's needs and is available only from the original manufacturer (Reference FAR 6.301-1). Any technical data in the Government's possession is limited use or is not suitable for production purpose. The source for the procurement of and related support for the FCR is the Longbow Limited Liability Company (formerly Joint Venture), consisting of Martin Marietta Millimeter Technologies, Inc., Orlando, Florida; and Westinghouse Tactical Systems, Baltimore, Maryland.
