steel monohull with aluminum house, 64'11'' in length overall with a
16' beam. All work is to be performed at the contractor's facilities.
The location of the contractual work on the vessel must be within a
fifty (50) mile radius of Caven Point Terminal, Jersey City, New
Jersey. The work consists of drydocking the vessel, sand blasting,
cleaning and painting the entire exterior and performing various hull
and mechanical repairs required by the solicitation specifications. All
work performed under the specifications shall conform to the best
modern marine practice and to all requirements of the American Bureau
of Shipping (ABS), Title 46 Code of Federal Regulations, Subchapter
''T'', ''Vessels'', as administered by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and
all pertinent regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA). The contractor shall commence the work not later
than one (1) working day after delivery of the vessel into his/her
custody and shall complete the work not later than forty-five (45)
calendar days after the commencement of work. There is a nonrefundable
charge of $30.00 for specifications which will be available on or
about February 2, 1996. Bid opening date is March 12, 1996 at 2:00 PM.
