The Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Norfolk, Virginia intends to acquire Cultural Resources studies, evaluations and/or assessments at various activities within LANTOPS area of responsibility inclusive of Atlantic, Northern, Chesapeake and Southern Divisions; Midwest Activities; Puerto Rico; overseas activities in the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Area, Mediterranean Area and Europe. Also, DOD Legacy demonstration projects, i.e. ``Purple Funded'' projects worldwide. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Quantity Contract. The contractor shall investigate, quantify and document various kinds of cultural resources and evaluations and assessments including literature searches, reconnaissance studies, intensive surveys, evaluation programs, mitigation programs, construction monitoring, underwater investigations, rock art studies, etc. The contractor shall provide professional expertise in various disciplines, research facilities, supervision, tools, instrumentation, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary to prepare reports/studies concerning cultural resource issues in accordance with current Federal standards implementing regulations such as the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the Native American Graves Protection Act of 1974, Archaeological Resources Protection Act of 1979, the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, etc. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. This solicitation is for a base period (12 months) with four (4) one-year option periods to extend the services, not to exceed 60 months. This proposed acquisition is being solicited on an unrestricted basis. This is a negotiated procurement requiring the submission of a Technical and Price proposal.
