The scope of work of the existing Support Center Building is a three story concrete structure of approx. 40,635 square feet gross area per floor. HVAC modification consist of upgrading existing undersized ductwork throughout the office areas; converting package direct expansion a/c units to chilled water; modify the converted the central plant chilled water system to primary, secondary pumping, including plate and frame heat exchanger; locating new cooling towers on the Power Building 1158 roof, on new structural platforms, including replacing the roofing after abating asbestos- Bldg 1158 only. Life Safety modification consist of upgrading existing corridors to 1-hour fire resistive construction including 20-minute labeled doors and frames with appropriate closers. This proposed acquisition will be a firm-fixed price contract. Estimated price range for work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
