(903) 334-2218 (Site Code DAAC79) PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: Furnish all plant, facilities, labor, materials, equipment and all work to repair leaks in Ammo Igloos, Ammunition Area at Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX. Twenty two Igloos in accordance with plans and specifications. Work includes the following: waterproof a total of 22 earth covered igloos, varying in length of 60 feet or 80 feet. The following method of waterproofing shell apply: (1) Strip existing vegetation and soil as necessary to achieve a minimum cover over the igloos of 30'', existing 24'' plus additional 6'' sand cushion; (2) Install a synthetic membrane to the igloos by attaching the membrane to the existing headwall using an adhesive and stainless steel batten strips bolted to the side of the headwall. Anchor the ground perimeter of the membrane with a rock filled trench and provide for a drainage outlet for the trench. Seed all disturbed areas. Completion time is 270 calendar days. The cost of this project is expected to range from $250,000 to $500,000. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. This solicitation will issue on or about 6 February 96.
