This CBD announcement constitutes a Notice of Contract Action for the purpose of notifying small businesses of potential subcontracting opportunities. The F-15 Program Office (ASC/VF) at HQ Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, proposes to award a contract to McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Corporation, St Louis MO, in the 2nd quarter of the FY96, pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1(10U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)-Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, for the follow-on production of F-15E attrition aircraft. The basic effort will include the fabrication, assembly and delivery of 6 F-15E production aircraft to the field as well as associated data, warranty, modifications to existing support equipment, limited updates to technical orders, and long lead for 6 aircraft in FY97. The Contract will also contain an FY 97 option for 6 F-15E aircraft and an FY 98 option for 6 F-15E aircraft. The period of performance for the basic contract and both options is forty-two months. An Ombudsman has been established for this acquisition. The only purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious concerns from potontial offerors when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate his/her concern during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. Potential offerors should use established channels to request information, pose questions and voice concerns before resorting to use of the Ombudsman.
