NCCOSC RDTE Division is tasked as an agent of the Office of Naval Research (ONR) to execute an exploratory development and advanced technology demonstration program. Under this program, NCCOSC RDTE Division researches new C31 technologies and explores innovative ways of considering and combining new technologies in the design and demonstration of high performance Command and Control (C2) capability. The path for potential transition of products developed under NRaD's exploratory development and advanced technology demonstration program is the Navy and Marine Corps subsystems of the Global Command and Control System (GCCS) and Navy combat systems interfacing to or combat systems interoperating with Navy and Marine Corps GCCS subsystems. NCCOSC RDTE Division is actively involved in several of these developments and intends to issue a delivery order type contract to continue these efforts and on occasion to acquire additional technical expertise to satisfy sponsor exploratory development and advanced technology demonstration tasking. The interoperability and compatibility of combat systems and non-real time C3I systems is absolutely essential, therefore the contractor performing the work under this prospective contract must have a corporate history that demonstrates a broad, complete knowledge of existing Navy and Marine Corps non-real time C3I systems and combat systems interfaces as well as experience in applying technology in improve C3I system capability. The scope of work is intended to be exploratory for potential transition to Navy ashore and afloat GCCS subsystems, the Marine Corps' Tactical Combat Operations (TCO) GCCS subsystem, and Navy combat systems interfacing to or combat systems interoperating with the Navy and Marine Corps GCCS subsystems; e.g., Command and Control Warfare Commander's Module (C2WCM), Tomahawk Strike Coordination Module, AEGIS, Advanced Combat Direction System, Advanced Tomahawk Weapons Control System, Battle Force Information database system, Strike Plot, and PEO TAD's Theater Air Defense System.
