The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Removal of Concrete deck (1 inch thick) - 3100 square yards and replacement with 2 inch low slump concrete - 170 cubic yards, 25 lineal feet of new 1-inch thick steel finger plate, 4200 lineal feet of 4 inches wide new pavement striping, 1,140 lineal feet of sawing 1/2-inch wide construction joint and sealing, and 75 LF of sawing 1-inch wide expansion joint and sealing. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a February 13, 1996. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available.
