The Aeronautical Systems Center, ASC/VXK Weapons, Air Base, and Range Contracting Office intends to release an RFP for the procurement and development of a Miniature Air Launched Decoy (MALD). The release of this RFP is contemplated in approximately 15 days. A sources sought synopsis was publuished on 19 Oct 95. A modification of this synopsis was published on 19 Dec 95. A DRFP for the MALD was released on 20 Dec 95. Firms having applicable interest, capability, and background should submit their responses to Aeronautical Systems Center, Weapons, Air Base and Ranges Product Support Office (ASC/VXK), 102 West D Ave, Suite 168, Eglin AFB FL Attn: Major Richard S. Responses should include, but not necessarily limited to, program management, engineering, management, and administrative support capabilities, SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE for facilities and personnel, knowledge of the technology involved in meeting the general requirements, and experience to include past performance record on similar or related activities. Those firms who have previously responded need not do so again. An Ombudsman has been established for this acquisition. The only purpose for the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious concerns from offerors when an offeror prefers not to use establihed channels to communicate his/her concern during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. Potential offerors should use established channels to request information, pose questions, and voice concerns before resorting to use of the Ombudsman.
