The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), St. Inigoes, MD has a requirement for one High Frequency Antenna System that must contain at minimum a 100 foot tower, a rotor unit with remote control capability, and a rotatable log periodic antenna. Components are required to work as a system. The minimum specifications for the procurement are as follows: 1) Tower Height of 100 feet, 2) Rotor of 360 degree coverage, 3) Wind Load Capability of 120 Mph, 4) Antenna Gain of 10 db, 5) Frequency Range of 3-30 Mhz, 6) Power Capability of 1000 Watts, 7) Polorization must be Horizontal, 8) Front to Back Ratio at 100 feet 14 db, 9) Maximum VSWR (50 ohm) as follows: a)3:1 from 3-4 Mhz, b) 2:1 from 4-30 Mhz, 9) Input Impedance of 50 ohm, and 10) Half Power Beam Width of 70 degrees.
