70 -- AUTOMATED DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT, SOFTWARE, LICENSING AND UPADATES POC Point of Contact:D-2/NCV The Defense Supply Service-Washington, on behalf of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs) (OASD(HA)) intends to conduct sole source negotiations with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) for an interim contract to provide for the purchase of hardware, software, licensing and updates for the Military Health Services Systems (MHSS) Automated Information Systems (AIS). This acquisition will allow for a bridge contractual vehicle to provide automated data processing equipment and software for all Department of Defense (DoD) medical AIS's. Further, this vehicle will allow OASD (HA) to meet MHSS mission requirements prior to the award of a competitive Support Hardware and Automation Related Products (SHARP) procurement. The equipment and services must conform to the current preferred MHSS architecture and be interoperable with current MHSS systems. Additionally, they must be able to support standard software applications currently being developed and have the capability to meet user requirements through the life of the contracts.
