The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include constructing 15 precast concrete culverts, removing existing wood bridges with concrete abutments, and constructing miscellaneous structures associated with the culverts. The estimated cost of the work is $500,001 to $1,000,000. The work is situated in Butte and Meade Counties, near Newell, South Dakota, and is located within the Belle Fourche Project. Solicitation packages will be available approximately February 8, 1996. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before March 1, 1996. Bid opening is tentatively scheduled or 10 a.m., March 12, 1996, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, 209 Dartmouth, Newell, South Dakota. The contract must be completed by no later than May 10, 1997. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation; additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 for each copy. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Great Plains Regional Office, Federal Building, Room 2025, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana; and the Newell Field Office, 209 Dartmouth, Newell, South Dakota. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. All sources responding to this synopsis shall submit information relating to business status, including identification as to whether small, large, minority-owned, and/or woman-owned. For this acquisition, the small business size standard is $17,000,000 and the standard industrial classification code is 1622.
