consists of approximately 3,400 square feet of interior alteration and
repair to the existing Vehicle Maitenance Building, Bldg 766.
ALTERATION: - To include heating, air conditioning, and electrical
systems. Install new split-face CMU veneer on the walls of the
building. Remove the front canopy. Latrine facilities shall be upgraded
to accomodate women with a shower constructed in the women's latrine.
Demolish the existing 29' X 10' rear addition (Mechanical Room and
Record Storage Room). Construct a new 35' X 10' rear addition to house
the Mechanical Room and Record Storage Room. Enclose three (3)
overhead doors and install one personnel door and window in the office
area. Replace all doors and windows throughout the facility. A
fire-rated door shall be installed between room #101 and 102. Construct
an interior ''wire'' storage enclosure within the Warehouse Room #100.
All interior walls of Rooms #101 through 107 are to be furred out and
covered with gypsum board. Install a new pirched standing seam roof
and associated framing over the existing roof. Remove the existing
underground tank and guard railing. REPAIR - This work includes
concrete, architectural profile CMU veneer walls, standing seam metal
roof and roof framing, masonry ''fill-in'' walls, metal studs/furring
with gypsum board, 2' X 2' acoustical tile ceilings (gypsum board
ceilings where indicated), waterproofing, solid core wood doors, HM
doors and frames, aluminum windows, hardware, glazing and interior
finishes. Replace existing lighting and relocate existing outlets,
switches and telephone jacks to accomodate the new walls and finishes.
Upgrade the plumbing, fire protection, heating-ventilation-air
conditioning upgrade for rooms #101 through 107. Install new ceiling
fans in room #100. The estimated cost of this project is between
$250,000 and $500,000. This project is unrestricted and all responsible
sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Only written
