The Federal Highway Administration intends to negotiate a cooperative agreement with the Wider Opportunities for Women (WOW) for technical assistance in enhancing the abilities of women in the highway construction industry. The effort supports FHWA's Women in Highway Construction initiative and will include developing new and innovative strategies to increase women's access to highway construction jobs. WOW is uniquely qualified for the work required under this project through its expertise in nontraditional jobs, skills training and advocacy for women in job training and employment. (0022)
