Dec. 22, 1995 is modified as follows: Multiple contracts may be issued
under this advertisement. Each contract for environmental services
will be administered through individual work orders, with a $5,000
guaranteed amount. Each contract will be for two years and may be
renewed for 3 one year periods. Total contract cannot exceed
$1,500,000. No work order can exceed $200,000 in fees. Services will
include designing and supervising asbestos, underground storage tank
and lead paint removal and performing contamination studies and
remediation, environmental site investigations, environmental
assessment/impact statements, and natural resources studies. Firm must
have experience with projects involving compliance with Federal State
and Local environmental and safety laws and regulations. This contract
is to cover the state of Georgia, however, it may be used occasionally
for projects in other States within the Southeast area. Firms that
possess the qualifications to perform the services described above are
invited to submit two (2) bound copies of the completed SF 255,
``Architect - Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific
Project'', two (2) bound copies of the completed SF 254
``Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire'' and two (2)
bound copies of the completed SF 254 for each of its proposed
consultants to the office shown above, postmarked not later than Feb
19, 1996. The selection will be conducted with the combined use of the
submitted SF 255 and SF 254s. Interested firms with multiple offices
must indicate on the SF 255 the staffing composition of the office in
which the work will be performed. Firms must have registered/certified
professionals employed in the following required personnel
classifications: Planner, Architect, Engineer, Scientist, and
Industrial Hygienist. Consideration will be given to firms responding
to this advertisement in accordance with foregoing instruction in the
following order of preference: (1) State of Georgia, (2) Out of State.
Firms will be considered as local only if their sole office is in the
local geographical area or they have a local branch office and all of
the design, coordination, and management of the project will be
accomplished in that office. Firms must provide proof of errors and
omissions insurance, minimum $200,000 per claim, with submittals (two
copies). The submissions must also include: (a) locations and array of
environmental and safety professionals employed, (b) management
approach, (c) laboratory use and certifications. Participation of
Minority Business Enterprise is a consideration in U. S. Postal Service
architect-engineer selections. It is prohibited to pay any fee,
commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm
contingent upon, or resulting from, award of contract for this project.
No other general notification for this contract will be made.
Submissions will not be retained or returned. This is not a request for
proposals. Firms are encouraged to submit required information ia
UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE first class, priority or express mail.
