C -- A/E TO DEVELOP BURIAL AREAS AND CEMETERY IMPROVEMENTS Sol RFP-61-96 due 022696. Contact Bonnie Obermier, 308/389-5118, Contracting Officer, Grand Island, NE. Provide all necessary A/E services to develop approximately six additional acres for full casket gravesites. The project will include roads, burial section layout, a committal shelter, landscaping, site signage and site furnishings, irrigation for the six acres, new irrigation control system for the entire site and alternations of the existing improvements as needed to blend into the expansion, this would include reconstruction/demolition of an historical wall. The expansion area is known to contain buried rubble (bricks and mortar) from an unknown source, the extent of the rubble is undetermined at this time, but will require removal to a depth of six feet. Also included is the construction of a maintenance/storage building and the renovation of the director's residence into administration space with complete handicapped accessibility. The site for this project is the Fort McPherson National Cemetery located near Maxwell, Nebraska. The estimated construction cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
