CAMPBELL (WMEC 909). The work which may be performed includes but may
not be limited to the following minimum items: 1. Service both onboard
Controllable Pitch Propeller Systems 2. Overhaul Stern Tube Seals 3.
Strain Gage Alignment Inspections 4. Preserve the Transducer Hull Rings
and Renew the Depth Indicating Transducers 5. Preserve the Transducer
Hull Ring/Review DSN-450 Doppler Speed Log Transducer 6. Overhaul,
Renew, and Test Valves 7. Service Rudder Assemblies 8. Renew Fin
Stabilizer Seals and Bearings 9. Preserve Antennas and Antenna
Foundations 10. Preserve Chain Lockers and Sump 11. Clean and Inspect
Voids and Ballast 12. Clean, Inspect, and Disinfect Potable Water
Tank(s) 13. Renew Corrosion Preventive Zinc Anodes 14. Provide
Temporary Berthing 15. Temporary Logistics 16. Routine Drydocking 17.
Preserve Freeboard 18. Preserve Superstructure 19. Preserve Hawse Pipes

homepier is New Bedford, MA. USCGC CAMPBELL's availability is
scheduled for on or about 29 April 1996. The performance period is
forty-nine (49) calendar days. Large and Small Businesses are
encouraged to submit bids. The availability is being Geographically
Restricted within seventy-five miles (75) miles from to New Bedford,
MA. Work is to be performed at the contractor's facility. Solicitation
(IFB) is anticipated to be issued on or about Feb. 02, 1996. There
will be a non-refundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a
certified check or money order made payable to the United States Coast
Guard for requested drawings and publications. For Minority,
Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of
Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to
apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
