S -- JANITORIAL SERVICES, HOOVER VISITOR FACILITIES, BOULDER CANYON PROJECT, ARIZONA-NEVADA SOL 1425-6-SI-30-11930 POC Contact Ms. Sonja Poindexter, Procurement Technician at 702-293-8569; Synopsis No. 96-03 The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for janitorial services at Hoover Dam which receives approximately 1.25 million visitors annually on the official guided tour and many thousands more that stop in passing to view the dam and use the facilities. Specific areas of the dam requiring these services include the Visitor Center, Parking Structure, Exhibit Building, and Tour Route inside the dam. The principal requirements of the services to be performed include (1) facilities cleaned and maintained throughout the tour day, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., 7 days per week; (2) restrooms cleaned and restocked several times per day; (3) trash containers emptied frequently; (4) general litter swept and/or picked up as it collects and placed in designated dumpsters; (5) floor surfaces in the Visitor Center, Exhibit Building, and along the guided tour route cleaned daily (sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping, and/or wet mopping); and (6) a variety of other tasks performed on a weekly, monthly, semi-annually, or as-needed basis. The Government intends to utilize the two-step sealed bidding acquisition method for procurement of these services. In the Step 1 of the procurement, bidders will be required to submit technical proposals without pricing information. Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation. After the proposal evaluation, those bidders whose proposals have been determined to be acceptable will be invited to participate in Step 2 which will consist of the submission of sealed bid prices. An award will be made to the bidder who submitted the lowest, responsive, responsible bid. The location of this project is at Hoover Dam which is located approximately 7 miles, via U.S. Highway 93, northeast of Boulder City, Nevada, in Clark County, Nevada, and Mohave County, Arizona. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is February 20, 1996. The estimated date for receipt of proposals is March 21, 1996. This solicitation is a total Small Business Set-Aside. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is 7349 and the small business size standard is $12 million.
