401/736-1762. Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment,
transportation and supervision necessary for rowhouse conversions at
USCG Air Station Cape Code, Bourne, MA (Barnstable County). Base bid
includes the conversion of four (4) row type, multi-plex housing units
from adjacent two-bedroom units to two (2) unified four-bedroom units.
Work includes but is not limited to: masonry wall demolition;
construction/remodeling of kitchens, bathrooms, stairs and walls;
installation of doorways, steel beams, kitchen cabinets, bathroom
furnishings, flooring, plumbing, heating duct; and incidental related
work. Optional provision for conversion of two (2) additional units
into one (1) four-bedroom unit. Estimated cost of this project is
between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Solicitation packages to be
available on or about February 7, 1996. There is a $20.00
non-refundable charge for the bid package which may be obtained by
writing to: Contracting Officer, U.S. Coast Guard, CEU Providence, 300

procurement is unrestricted and is being issued pursuant to the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. THIS NOTICE IS FOR
INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES FOR MINORITY, WOMAN OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED
BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist
minority, woman-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
