Scope of work: The general scope of work involves the interior repainting of the Main Work Room, the Loading Dock, and ancillary rooms around these spaces at the Hartford CT Processing and Distribution Center. The building was originally constructed about 1981. The Main Work Room is approximately 165,000 sq. ft. in area and is approximately 22' high. Other spaces are less than 15' high and are about 25,000 sq. ft. in area. Specific work involves preparation and painting the following: undersides of roof decks, exposed roof structure and columns; exposed HVAC ducts; exposed piping including sprinklers, gas and compressed air per ANSI color coding standards; walls and Inspection Galleries; door and frames; wall bumpers and guards; painting column numbers, fire extinguisher locations and other existing painted identification signs. The work must be done in such a manner and at such times as not to impede the work schedule or operations of the building. A preproposal conference is scheduled at the Harford CT P&DC, 141 Weston St, Hartford CT 06101-9997 on February 6, 1996 at 11:00 am. The estimated price range is between $750,000 and $1,000,000 with completion required within 150 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
