Earl Pendley/Contracting Officer NASA/MSFC intends to purchase from Intergraph Corporation, Huntsville, AL, the following hardware, software, peripherals, and services required to upgrade an existing Integrated Engineering System (IES) at MSFC: Item 1 - BCN Power Supply required to provide two additional IES Backbone Concentrator Node Power Supplies that will support the increased number of Multimode FDDI, Intergraph P/N FINF75020, 2 each -- Item 2 -- 10M FDDI Single Attached FSD-FDDI ST Cables, provides 10M FDDI Single Attached FSD-FDDI ST Cables, Intergraph P/N FINF7136, 12 each -Item 3 -- Multimode FDDI-32M FRE2ILI, provides Multimode FDDI interface modules with 32MB of memory -- These FDDI Modules must interface to the present IES Backbone Concentrator Node and also interface to the Plaintree WaveSwitch 100-8 FDDI DAS or SAS Fiber Switching Modules, Intergraph P/N FIN74011-32, 6 each -- Item 4 - Plaintree WaveSwitch 100-8 provides Plaintree WaveSwitch 100-8 HIGH SPEED ethernet LAN Switching Hub's that must include 16, 10 Mbps 10BaseT Ethernet ports and up to two high-speed ports -Support an internal switching capacity of 100Mbps, all Ethernet ports must intercommunicate at wire speed of 10 Mbps simultaneously -- Fully comply with the IEEE 802.3 and 802.1d (transparent bridging) standards which includes filtering or redirection of a particular address, protection against bad frames and fragments and spanning tree capabilities -- Supports Enhanced Stored and Forward switching technology as opposed to Cut Through (or Cross Point) switching -- The two modular slots shall support Fast Ethernet or FDDI (DAS and SAS connectivity) -Each high speed interface must be a distinct switched segment along with the 16 other ports -- The FDDI-to-Ethernet capability must fully support IP fragmentation (RFC 830 and 1191 standards). DM/Redline must provide a non-destructive markup capability -- DM/Redline is also required that multiple redlines from different users can be linked together to a document and displayed simultaneously -- Markup tools should include lines, arcs, rectangles, text strings, and circles, Intergraph P/N SRBX103AC-0100A, 63 each -- Item 18 -DM/DB Access Runtime provides DM/DB Access Runtime to interface with any RIS-Supported database -- DM/DB Access Runtime allows the user to execute screen dialogs and reports created by DM/DB Administrator Toolkit -- DM/DB Access Runtime dialogs can be defined to provide the user with any level of database access desired, from simple read only single record access, to full featured database review/edit/report and document display capabilities through DM/Redline, Intergraph P/N SNBX386AC-0500A, 63 each -- Item 19 -- DM/DB Administrator, provides copies of the Intergraph Document Manager Software package DM/DB Access Administrator -- DM/DB Access Administrator is required to provide a comprehensive application building and database capabilities -- DM/DB Access Administrator will also empower the users to build custom dialogs, reports, and complete applications with simple, syntax-free procedures, Intergraph P/N SNBY385AA0500A, 2 each -- Item 20 -- DM/Capture, shall provide copies of the Intergraph Document Manager Software package DM/Capture - DM/Capture is required to enable documents and associated data to be captured and registered into DM/Manager -- DM/Capture is required to capture hardcopy documents, digital raster files, text files, word processing documents, and CAD files, Intergraph P/N SRBX116AC-0100A, 6 each -- Item 21 -- Veribest Designer - Shall provide copies of the Intergraph VeriBest Designer software packages -- VeriBest Designer must include the following software packages: Electronics Graphical User Interface, Electronics Desktop Manager, ACEPlus Design Entry System, HDL Generator, and VeriBest Simulation -- The Electronics Desktop Manager (EDM) provides consistent integration across data and applications for the VeriBest Design Environment, as well as easy access to all network peripherals and processes -- HDL Generator combined with ACEPlus Design Entry provides a full featured hierarchical schematic editor along with a stat diagram editor -- HDL Generator is both a graphical and textual front-end to all Intergraph EDA applications to include the VeriBest Simulator -The VeriBest Simulator is a Verilog-HDL simulation environment that has been designed to focus on ASIC and FPGA design -VeriBest is a high performance, high capacity, Open Verilog International (OVI) compliant simulator, Intergraph P/N SBUN100M, 4 each -- Item 22 -- Video Engine 500Z -- Shall provide a Video Engine 500Z Systems -- The Video Engine 500Z Systems provide the engineering professional to capture, edit & play back real-time video & animated computer graphics, & for improved performance with CAD applications & the computational power for building video effects -- The Video Engine 500Z offers high performance 3D modeling, rendering & animation -- The Video Engine 500Z must include the following: Tower/Deskside chassis, Dual 90Mhz Pentium processors with 512K cache, GLZ accelerated true-color 3D graphics with 24-bit Z-Buffer, 13'' presentation monitor, Video Engine Software VE/CONSOLE for capturing live video and audio, importing animation sequences, & playing back edit video in realtime; DVP for editing video clips, animation, transitions, titles, effects and audio tracks, Intergraph P/N FDSP879, 1 each -- Item 23 -- Open GL for Microstation -- Shall provide copies MicroStation OpenGL Engine (MOGLE) -- MicroStation OpenGL Engine (MOGLE) is a application level driver that allows MicroStation to take advantage of OpenGL and hardware accelerators for available in the Windows NT 3.5 release -- MOGLE must provide the take advantage of the hardware accelerators for OpenGL, such as Intergraph's GLZ graphics cards, to further improve display performance, Intergraph P/N SGBY179AC-0100A, 50 each -- Item 24 -- Installation, integration, checkout at MSFC and system certification via execution of performance testing program and execution of existing application programs - Quantity - 1 job -All items are required to interface to, and be functionally compatible with, the existing vector-graphics Intergraph Corporation native-language data format environment in the MSFC IES -- Contractor shall integrate and certify all existing applications, software entities, and provide all software updates, sysgens, and utilities necessary for total transparent operation and utilization as well as all documentation updates and/or changes relevant to the reconfigured system and provide workshops as needed to train existing users on the augmented system -- This hardware and software must be fully and satisfactorily integrated and maintained under the current Intergraph Corporation on-site support subcontract to the MSFC PrISMS contract at MSFC -- Contractor shall provide all cabling, connectors, gateways, terminators, adapters jacks, and similar items necessary for establishing a connection to the IES LAN -Contractor efforts to implement the requirements set forth above must be carried out in such a manner that impacts to ongoing production work in the graphics systems are kept to an absolute minimum -- Moreover, the final implementation must provide the augmentations and replacements requested herein and, at the same time, fully accommodate all existing functions and workloads -Contractor must clearly state the impacts to the current system operations and the consequences thereof -- Delivery and installation at MSFC is required to be accomplished within 90 days -- This sole-source requirement is based on predominate experience, proprietary software/specifications and system compatibility requirements -- Interested firms have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities in the critical areas mentioned above, along with a request for a copy of the solicitation -Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis -- Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered -- Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice -- A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government -- All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered -- See Note 22.
