This agency intends to award a sole source purchase order to Computer Wise of Olathe KS for 70 each replacement TransTerm 5 terminals (Model TT5) for the data collection system located at the Defense Distribution Depot Susquehanna, New Cumberland, PA in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(a)(4). Options required include: 70 each TNET (RS-422) Interface, 70 each Barcode Interface, 70 each Industrial Beeper and 70 each Custom firmware (special ROM chip). Equipment must be compatible with the existing DEC and Broadband without causing additional programming changes. The TransTerm Terminal contains custom copyrighted firmware which was specifically designed by Computer Wise to interface with the existing software systems installed in the Eastern Distribution Center at DDSP. Request for oral quotations shall be used as the award procedure. Anticipated award date is February 26, 1996.
