A -- SPECIAL NOTICE EXTENSION - NASA SCIENCE INSTITUTE PLANNING TEAM REPORT POC Ms. Donna Fortunat tel: 202/358-2877 Deadline of Special Notice published on November 27, 1995, is extended. The deadline for reviewing the Draft NASA Science Institute Plan has been extended to provide adequate time and opportunity for all interested parties to comment. The original deadline of January 5, 1996, has been shifted to January 26, 1996. The targeted publication date for a final report will also shift accordingly. These slips in the schedule are due primarily to recent Government closures which have limited opportunities for both Federal employees and other external parties to review and comment on the document. All comments received by January 26 will be considered prior to the publication of a final report in early 1996. Specific comments on the Science Institute Plan may be addressed to the NASA Science Institutes mailbox on Internet: Institute@hq.nasa.gov. Comments may also be provided in writing to: Mr. Al Diaz, Office of Space Science, NASA Headquarters. In addition, comments of a human resources nature may be provided directly to Ms. Candace Irwin, Headquarters Office of Human Resources and Education, at 202/358-1206. NASA remains committed to broadly soliciting input and ideas from all interested stakeholders prior to making final decisions on how to proceed with the established Institutes. Your participation and comments are critical to this process, and to the ultimate success of any actions the Agency may undertake with respect to Institutes. Once all comments have been reviewed, a final report will be posted on Internet at the anonymous file transfer protocol site: ftp.hq.nasa.gov. The report may be accessed through the directory: pub/oss/inst/.
