DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION SURVEILLANCE, SPECIAL STUDIES, AND OTHER SERVICES

architect-engineering services for design; preparation of contract
documents with options for contract administration and inspection
services for repair & alteration and other projects; and support of
special programs. Guaranteed minimum amount of $5,000 within a five (5)
year period. Services shall be provided for the Denver Facilities
Services Office, and all Postal facilities located within the
jurisdiction of this office. The term of the contract shall be for two
years, with three (3) one year renewal options. Individual work orders
will be issued, and each work order will be negotiated as an individual
project. Work orders for any one project cannot exceed $100,000, and
the total contract cannot exceed $500,000 for each 12-month contract
period. The total contract amount shall not exceed $2,500,000 for the
five year period. Firms that have the qualifications to perform the
services described above are invited to submit a completed SF 255,
Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific
Projects, a completed SF 254, Architect-Engineer and Related Services
Questionnaire, and a completed SF 254 for each of its proposed
consultants to the office shown above. The selection will be conducted
by using the submitted SF 255 and the SF 254s. Interested firms with
more than one office must indicate on their SF 255, the staffing
composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Firms
responding to this advertisement will be evaluated in accordance with
the following criteria: 1) Office located within a 30 mile radius of
Denver, Colorado; 2) Firms experienced in small repair and alteration
projects, including, but not limited to: architectural barriers, HVAC,
roof repair/replacement, paving repairs/replacements and site
adaptation (and modification) of existing USPS standard plans for new
facilities; 3) firm staff not to exceed a total of fifteen (15)
personnel (in the office that the work will be performed), with a
minimum of two (2) registered Architects and one (1) in each of the
registered engineering disciplines, such as: civil, electrical,
mechanical (HVAC), and structural (engineering disciplines may be staff
personnel or consultants); 4) firms who are experienced with unit price
schedules; and 5) availability of in-house AutoCADD version 11.0 or
higher capability. In addition, experience with ``factory built''
(modular) buildings is desireable. Architectural and Engineering firms
will be considered as local only if their sole office is in the local
geographical area or they have a local branch office and all the
architectural design, coordination, and management of the project will
be performed in that office. There is no restriction on the
geographical location of consultants. The contract contains a
requirement for firms to provide evidence of current insurance of
$200,000 of errors and omissions per claim. Participation of
Minority-Owned Business is encouraged. It is prohibited to pay any fee,
commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm
contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this project.
No other general notification for this project will be made. Submission
of SF 254 and SF 255 by USPS mail (Express Mail, Priority Mail, or
First Class) is encouraged. This solicitation may result in multiple
awards. Submissions will not be retained or returned. This is not a
