Manning, (617)687-2529, Contracting Officer, Emily Smith, (617)687-2361, Additional Contact, Joseph Boggs, (617)687-2515 Provide A/E services to develop working drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and Industrial Hygienist services to replace three(3) existing boilers and their appurtenant equipment in Building 22 at the ENRM VA Medical Center, Bedford, Massachusetts. Boilers shall comply with all current VA requirements and conform with all state, local and federal codes. The A/E is to retain the services of a Certified Industrial Hygienist to survey the affected areas for asbestos containing materials. Firms desiring consideration shall submit Standard Forms 254s and 255s by C.O.B. March 12, 1996. Responsible sources must be located within 100 miles of Bedford, MA. Mileage is to be determined by Rand McNally Guide. Pertinent factors for consideration of qualifications, listed in the order of importance are: (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) Past performance of contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules. This is not a request for proposals. This solicitation is unrestricted. Estimated Cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. Award of this project is subject to the availability of funds. (0023)
