Y -- FIRE ALARM SYSTEM, HOOVER DAM, BOULDER CANYON PROJECT SOL 1425-6-SI-30-11940 POC Contact Ms. Sonja Poindexter, Procurement Technician, 702-293-8569; Synopsis No. 96-08 The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement to make miscellaneous improvements, modifications, additions and enhancements to the existing fire detection and alarm systems of Hoover Dam. The principal features of the work include the following: (1) furnish and install horns, bells, strobe lights, and relays; (2) furnish and install analog smoke detectors, detector bases, miscellaneous analog control devices, and pull stations; (3) furnish and install fire alarm panels; (4) furnish conduit, boxes, miscellaneous connectors, hangers, etc.; (5) furnish and install wire: Power cable, fiber, analog signal control wire, communication wire, etc.; and (6) furnish fire alarm operational software, event software installation, historical event software, and programming of the entire system. This includes registration and software updates for a minimum of 1 year. The estimated cost range of this project is $500,001 to $1,000.000. The location of this project is at Hoover Dam, on the Colorado River, approximately 7 miles northeast of Boulder City, Nevada, Clark County and Mohave County in Arizona. The performance time for completion of this project is 150 days. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is 1731 and the small business size standard is $7 million. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is 3/1/96. The estimated date for receipt of bids is 4/1/96.
