intends to issue a contract to Electrospace Systems, Inc.(ESI) for
contractor logistics support for the Comand and Control Switching
System (CCSS). This requirement type contract will cover a 5 year
period beginning 1 Oct 96 consisting of depot level repair, telephone
support and emergency /routine engineering technical support at the
contractor's facility. The contractor will analyze switch baselines for
network purposes as needed, recommend switch acquisition,
modifications, expansions, upgrades, relocations, depot line
replaceable unit (LRU) repair and provide spare parts. The contract
will also include installation of approved modificaiton/upgrades to
equipment/software to include hands-on CCSS switch training and to
obtain configurations of DSS-1, MDS-1 and other SDS-1 family of
switches. There are currently over 100 listed operational CCSS switches
located at straegic worldwide locations. CCSS consists of secure and
non-secure telecommunications switching system manufactured by ESI.
CCSS is a state-of-the-art multilevel precedence electronic digital
telecommunications designed as a modular, expandable, high isolation,
redundant, non-blocking switch with emphasis on reliability and
interface flexibility. CCSS switches interface with multiple KY
switches and cryptographic devices as well as T1 bulk encryption
equipment which permits access to AUTOSEVOCOM, DSN and commercial
networks. Contractor must have a Top Secret Facilities clearance and
Top Secret Clearances for personnel to perform services on site. COMSEC
and cryptographic requirements apply. This is an ''all or none''
requirement. The government DOES NOT currently have the data to compete
this effort. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or
