COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JANUARY 26,1996 PSA#1518ASSOCIATION OF OLD CROWS (AOC) ELECTRONIC WARFARE MODELING AND
SIMULATION CONFERENCE POC AOC Convention Department, (703) 549-1600.
The Association of Old Crows (AOC) will conduct its third Electronic
Warfare Modeling and Simulation Conference March 6 - 7, 1996, at the
Mitre Corporation, McLean VA. This follow-on to previous highly
successful conferences will update industry and government personnel on
revolutionary advances in hardware and software systems and the changes
and effects to the EW modeling and simulation (M&S) environment, with
a special emphasis on credibility of EW modeling and simulation. Dr.
Pat Sanders, Deputy Director, Modeling and Simulation, Software
Development, within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, will chair
the conference. The conference will address the five most critical
categories of issues impacting the credibility of M&S for EW--the
appropriate application of M&S/ data available and use; analysts'
qualifications; model hierarchies; and standards for models use (beyond
W&A). In addition, a briefing will be given on the results of the most
extensive polling of the user communities yet undertaken,
specifically, the results of a special AOC year-long study with the
``user'' community defined as: acquisition, operations/intelligence,
testing and training education. The conference will be unclassified and
summaries of the papers will be made available to attendees. Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0422 19960125\SP-0003.MSC)
