B. Kephart Code 213BK, (908) 323-3065. The Naval Air Warfare Center
Aircraft Division has a requirement for Ultrasonic Cleaning Tanks which
meet the following requirements: (1) The type of cleaning fluid to be
used in the ultrasonic cleaning tank is Navy Oxygen Cleaner (NOC),
trade name OCTAGON OCC-RTU, manufactured by Octagon Process Inc., 599
River Road, Edgewater, NJ 07020, NSN 6850-01-389-3859 (5 gal); (2) Due
to the corrosive nature of the cleaning solution, aluminum and
anodized parts should not come in direct contact with the cleaning
solution; (3) The Ultrasonic cleaning tank shall have a frequency range
of 25-40 kHz; (4) The Ultrasonic cleaning tank shall have a heated bath
for cleaning parts with a temperature range of 140 to 200 degrees F;
(5) The tank which holds the parts to be cleaned should be in size
range from 12'' L x 12'' W x 11''D to 36'' L x 34'' W x 36'' D; (6) The
Ultrasonic cleaning tank shall have a generator power per radiated
surface of at least 3 watts/in2.* The power per radiated surface area
can be determined by dividing the total generator power by the surface
area of tank bottom or side where the generator transducers are
located. Vendors are requested to provide information concering the
unit's ability to withstand enviromental conditions such as pitch/roll
or static list, and information on the unit's emission of
electromagnetic interference. NAWCADLKE is interested in determining if
this item, along with the technical information required to support the
equipment, is available in the commercial marketplace and meets the
definition of commercial items as defined in the Federal Acquisition
Regulations (FAR) Part 2. The technical information would be required
to include a technical manual that would contain operation
instructions, maintenance instructions and illustrated parts breakdown.
Other data required would be supplemental provisioning technical
documentation, a provisioning parts list, provisioning and other
procurement screening data and a support material list. Those sources
interested in this Request for Information are invited to submit their
information, and a description of any currently available product that
meets our requirements. This is not a Request for Proposal and no
solicitation is available. The Government will not respond to any
request for solicitation packages under this Request for Information.
The Government will not pay for any information requested in response
to this RFI nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any
cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
