703/602-0215. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Code 03M1 (NAVSEA) is
soliciting qualified manufacturers to develop and test an improved
non-skid coating conforming to the proposed MIL-PRF-24667, Type V, Comp
G or L. The objective of this effort is to develop a qualified non-skid
coating which is a low temperature, fast curing system that has a low
Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) and Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP)
content. Other performance characteristics are the same as MIL-PRF
24667A, Type I, Comp G or L. NAVSEA considers a qualified applicant to
be on the current Qualified Products List (QPL) for MIL-PRF-23003,
MIL-PRF-24483, or MIL-PRF-24667A or similar non-skid QPL. Manufacturers
not currently on the QPL must have experience with military
performance-type shipboard non-skid coatings or materials types used in
similar applications. Specific applications would be aircraft landing
decks and vertical replenishment zones. Cut off date for proof of
