The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to purchase services from Indiana University Medical And Molecular Genetics Department to TRANSFORM LYMPHOCYTE IMMORTALIZATIONS FROM WHOLE BLOOD. The Institute intends to purchase services by Other Than Full And Open Competition from Indiana University Medical And Molecular Genetics Department. Indiana University Medical And Molecular Genetics Department is recommended as the sole source for the Purchase Order because of their extensive work performed in the past with viable cell lines. The intended source Indiana University Medical And Molecular Genetics Department currently holds nine (9) vials of the cell line as viable frozen cells, each containing a minimum of five (5) million viable cells in one (1) ml of cell culture medium. Indiana University Medical And Molecular Genetics Department stores and guarantees a complete lack of contamination of each cultured cell line in the growth media by use of mycoplasma testing such as PCR analysis. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. (See Note 22). It is anticipated that Request For Quotation (RFQ) Number NIH-NIDDK-96-162 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is February 09, 1996.
