A -- RANGING SENSORS The University of California's PATH Program is seeking vendors who are interested in supplying ranging sensors for testing our longitudinal vehicle control system. The objective of the longitudinal vehicle controller is to control the relative spacing of a motor vehicle with respect to the vehicle immediately ahead of its regulating the throttle and/or brakes. The ranging sensor will interface with the longitudinal controller. The estimates of range and range rate obtained by the adjusting the speed of the trailing vehicle. Request for Proposal Sensors/BC will be sent to interested parties with a response date of February 26, 1996.
