CH2M HILL under its ARCSWEST Contract No. 68-W9-0031 with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is soliciting interested parties to provide one (1) individual for field oversight, engineering, and coordination services at and around the Bunker Hill Superfund Site in Kellogg, Idaho. These services will be in support of CH2M HILL's obligation to provide oversight of remedial design investigations and remedial actions conducted by the Potentially Responsible Parties (PRPs) at Bunker Hill, which is an uncontrolled hazardous waste site on the National Priority List. This individual will work under the direction of CH2M HILL and EPA to provide a variety of field services, including but not limited to, the following items: 1) oversee PRP design and construction efforts, 2) collect various soil, surface water, and ground water samples for laboratory analyses, 3) maintain a daily diary of observations at the site, 4) check and record daily mine water flow rates and pH, 5) coordinate with mine owner and provide field engineering services related to various surface water drainage issues, 6) coordinate with mine owner on various cleanup efforts and on efforts to control the amount and quantity of water discharged from the mine, and 7) actively participate in various public relations efforts. The period of performance is anticipated to be one (1) year with three (3) one-year options. The individual to provide these services must at a minimum have a BS degree in engineering, geology, or a related field, have at least 10 years of experience in the mining industry, and must be 40-hour Health and Safety trained in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120.
