Specialist, (202) 287-3238. The Smithsonian Institution seeks training
for the professional development of museum security officers and
supervisors. Offeror shall: 1) Conduct an analyses to identify all
tasks necessary to fulfill the function of Museum Security Officer; 2)
Develop and implement a basic museum security officer course; 3)
Develop and implement additional special emphasis training courses such
as ''Museum Security - Refresher,'' ''Supervisory'' and ''Supervisory
- Technical;'' and 4) Develop measures to assess all training
effectiveness. Offeror must be capable of providing skills including,
but not limited to, the following: 1) granting certification in CPR,
First Aid, use of firearms, etc.; 2) meeting and maintaining mandatory
legal requirements for U.S. Special Police Officers and 3) granting
academic credit or continuing education units for courses completed. It
is envisioned that this work will be an open term, indefinite
