The work consists of detoxification of the abandoned heap leach pad, treatment, removal and disposal of the existing pregnant and barren ponds. Includes disposal of liner materials on to the leach pad, excavation and disposal of sludge mill pond materials, liner and TCLP hazardous drainline materials. A sampling and monitoring plan shall be in place during construction and detoxification activities. This project will not include regrading of the detoxified heap materials. The Contractor shall install all necessary equipment, provide all necessary supplies, chemicals and technology required to detoxify the heap to meet current Nevada drinking water standards. The project site is located in the SE 1/4 of Section 3, T.11N., R.39E, Mt. Diablo Meridian, near the historic mining town of Grantsville, Nevada (approx. 4 miles south and west of Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park via Forest Roads #411 and #108). Est. start date is 5/1/96 with 360 calendar days for completion. The est. price range is between $250,000 and $500,000.
