Coley/Lmkr/(801)777-6078 The following information is provided to
accomplish a Market Survey of Industry to identify potential
contractors who have the skills and knowledge required to accomplish
this effort. This acquisition is for the development of a Launch
Facility Trainer (LFT) at Vandenberg AFB. Specific tasks of this
acquisition include the following: 1) Design, fabricate, assemble,
install, demonstrate, and test an LFT to simulate the WS133A-M Wing V
configuration. The LFT shall be capable of training the three level,
hands-on (2b) tasks for the electronic maintenance, missile
maintenance, and facility maintenance associated with the WS 133A-M
Weapon System Specialty Training Standards (STS). 2) Incorporate and
modify Government Furnished Material (GFM) into the trainer as
required. During the duration of the contract the contractor is
responsible for storing and controlling the GFM. 3) The trainer
equipment shall be designed to fit into a converted Launch Facility. It
is expected that additional facilities (A&E) construction will be
necessary. The contractor shall provide professional engineers,
certified welders, etc. for these tasks. 4) Provide drawings,
specifications, facility data, tech orders and manuals, test procedures
and reports, and any other documentation as necessary to the
government. 5) Conduct adequate qualification and acceptance tests to
ensure the trainer meets the government requirements. 6) Adequate
Corrosion Control, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Configuration
Management, Provisioning, and Safety Compliance will be expected. 7)
Environmental Protection to Vandenberg Air Force Base standards. 8) The
contractor will be expected to employ experience in Facility (A&E) and
Minuteman trainers. The proposed contractual action is intended to be
full and open competition, restricted to small businesses. Potential
offeror's may identify their interest and their capability to respond
