The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include installation of steel stoplog sections and surface preparation and painting of the inside and outside surfaces of two 30-foot by 25-foot steel radial gates. The estimated cost of the work is $100,001 to $500,000. The work is situated approximately 18 miles south of Thermopolis, Wyoming in Fremont County. Solicitation packages will be available approximately February 15, 1996. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before March 11, 1996. Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 10 am, March 19, 1996, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Wyoming Area Office, 705 Pendell Boulevard, Mills, Wyoming. The contract must be completed 120 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation; additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 for each copy. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Great Plains Regional Office, Federal Building, Room 2025, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana; and the Wyoming Area Office, 705 Pendell Boulevard, Mills, Wyoming. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. All sources responding to this synopsis shall submit information relating to business status, including identification as to whether small, large, minority-owned, and/or women-owned. For this acquisition, the small business size standard is $17,000,000 and the standard industrial classification code is 1721.
