Using Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR Part 13, the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Detachment New London intends to acquire from Alliant Techsystems Inc. of Mukilteo, Washington, test support and analyses of the HX-29 transducer in a specified environment. Alliant Techsystems is the designer and sole manufacturer of the HX-29 transducer. Information relative to the operation and performance of the HX-29 transducer that is proprietary to Alliant Techsystems is vital to the required test and analyses. See Note 22. (0029)
