Quality control, testing and inspection services, Universities Research Association, Inc/Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) request expressions of interest for request for proposal to provide Geotechnical Engineering and Testing Services. The subcontract resulting from this request for proposal will be for a base period of one year with two two-year option periods. Subcontractor shall furnish all management, supervision, personnel, material, supplies and equipment (except as otherwise provided) and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective performance of all services. The Subcontractor shall provide professional Geotechnical Engineering and Testing Services. Work scope includes, but is not necessarily limited to, soil and rock boring, soil and rock material testing and analysis, providing engineering recommendations and design parameters, weld and bolt testing and inspection, concrete testing, insitu and cylinders; building envelope and structural frame inspection and testing; and digging where profiles are known. The subcontractor shall be responsible for furnishing the various professional and technical classifications and the kinds of equipment required, as well as any other equipment, tooling, material and supplies, directed by Fermilab. All work performed by the subcontractor shall be in the form of a Task Order issued by Fermilab for all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies, as required, and shall be in accordance with Fermilab's authorizations and directions set forth in the Task Order. The Subcontractor shall be responsible to assure that the quality of workmanship and material provided under this Subcontract meets normal industry standards. Defective and/or unsatisfactory workmanship caused by untrained and/or careless tradesmen or work accomplished contrary to plans and specifications shall be replaced at the subcontractor's expense. Unless otherwise specified by the subcontractor, the on-site supervisor shall be assumed to be responsible for Quality Assurance. Firms responding to this announcement shall be required to be located within seventy-five (75) miles of Batavia, Illinois; have a minimum of ten (10) years in the Geotechnical Engineering and Testing Services; and have a minimum of five (5) drilling rigs at time of subcontract award.
