S. Army Corps of Engineers Huntsville Engineering and Support Center, as a contracting and project management agent for the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Environmental Security) (ODUSD(ES)), intends to procure professional and technical services in support of execution of the ODUSD(ES) mission. The ODUSD(ES) is responsible for global environmental security policy, oversight, implementation, and advocacy of environmental, safety and occupational health, explosives safety, fire and emergency services, and pest management programs for Defense activities including the relationship between the environment and the military missions of the Department of Defense. The contractor must have a demonstrated ability to perform task assignments in these areas and shall maintain the capability to perform on a short reaction time basis. It is intended that this proposed solicitation will result in award of an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type contract against which cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery orders will be placed. The delivery schedule will be stated in each order. The initial period of performance will be one year with four (4) one-year options. There is a requirement for the prime-contractor's office to be located within a 25 mile radius of the Pentagon which is located in Arlington, VA. This procurement is unrestricted and is anticipated to be issued on or about the March 21, 1996. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
