The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include earthwork for switchyard foundations, constructing concrete switchyard foundations, furnishing and erecting switchyard steel structures, relocating existing switchyard steel structures, modifying an existing switchyard steel structure, erecting a Government-furnished steel cable bypass tower, furnishing and installing circuit breakers and disconnect switches, removing existing disconnect switches, removing and reinstalling existing disconnect switches, and constructing transmission lines using Government-furnished material. The estimated cost of this work is $250,001 to $500,000. The work is situated at Yellowtail Dam, approximately 45 miles southwest of Hardin, Montana, in Big Horn County. Solicitation packages will be available approximately February 22, 1996. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before March 20, 1996. Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 10 a.m., March 28, 1996, at the Office of the Bureau of Reclamation, 316 North 26th Street, Room 2031 Federal Building, Billings, Montana. The contract must be completed by no later than December 1, 1996. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation; additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 for each copy. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Great Plains Regional Office, Federal Building, Room 2031, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana: and the Yellowtail Field Branch, 2 Avenue B, Fort Smith, Montana.
